teeny

oh my goodness... so cute. i should have included something in the picture as a scale reference. these little shirts are SO TINY!
this was an experiment -- and i think i like it enough to keep on going. lots of friends around here are having babies -- i wanna make some sets of these -- little monday through friday packs with different colors and different arrangements of the ric rac. (putting to good use another craft/sewing material that i've been collecting and hording.) next time, i'll just get the ric rac on there a little more straight.

and these little piggies...

are going to be at the Homegrown Indie Arts & Crafts Fair with me tomorrow.

if you are in the area -- Leesport, PA -- tomorrow between 12-6pm, you should most certainly stop by. i will have a table at the fair and i know that there are going to be a whole lotta other artists and crafters selling their stuff there as well. click here for more info about the fair.
maybe you can buy one of these onesies and it can go "wee-wee-wee" all the way to your home.

those little cloud onesies

i'm getting ready for the homegrown indie arts and crafts fair this weekend -- building inventory, packaging, tagging, working on my displays.
i've made up a few little silver-lined cloud onesies to sell at that event:

they are similar to the ones i made for eli and cooper, but whereas theirs had stitching around the cloud, these ones get their silver lining from silver textile paint.

more updates on the craft fair as the week goes on...

chez makes active wear

remember months ago when i posted about making a couple of limited-edition onesies for two very special little dudes?
here's one of them in action:

that's eli, skating with his pop, jeremy. so f-ing cute. (oops, i just realized that you can't tell, from this crop, that they are skateboarding -- well they are --click on over to see the whole shot!)
my friends claire and jeremy are SUPER-DUPER, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, AMAZING (please insert at least 10 other ultra-positive adjectives here) photographers. (i would use all of those words to describe them as friends and as people, too.) they have a blog where they share little bits of their exciting lives (babies! celebrities! travel! tomfoolery!) -- you should check it out; it is way inspiring.
really, you should see the rest of the photos and the rest of their site, too. they go by the name of day19. maybe you've heard of them before -- they're pretty serious.

evolution of the birds' eye

i had been making my vintage-print birdie onesies with button eyes.

and then i put on my hunter's vision -- or my naturalist's perspective-- and i found the hidden eyes in this vintage print. (can you spot them?)

when lined up just right, the flowers in the pattern make such great, subtle eyes -- so far better than the buttons (and it cuts out a step in production!)

the new, improved vintage-print birdie onesies (and newborn shirts)
(they'll be for sale this sunday at my table at the hearts and crafts affair at cafe grumpy in greenpoint, brooklyn!)

oh baby baby

more onesies --

custom tags? oh, mais oui!

oh, and this is the little birdie that inspired these new onesies -- i had a bird shape that i really liked and went and made it into a little stuffed thing -- but it just didnt work like i had envisioned it. so i decided that it needed to be done in 2-D, and thus - the onesies..

C is for cookie...

...even when it is made of canvas and felt and thread and beads.

baby bella's birthday is coming up -- she'll be ready for pretend tea parties soon enough (and so will i).

UPDATE -- so i gave bella her cookies -- and i think that she likes them. so cute.

baby birds

here's the project of the day... baby onsies. onesies are just so damn cute, who can resist picking some up and customizing them. oh, and babies are so hot right now... really, though, this gives purpose to some of those little embroidery projects. that, and i know of quite a few lovely ladies who are sporting the bump these days.
